As I approached my 50th birthday, people kept asking me, what did I want to do for my big day? I had to think long and hard about this. Finally I knew!! No party, no big over the top trip. What I wanted was to see some of the back roads of California.
I had been watching “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” for several years. I thought this was the the best possible way to see the US. So I dug and dug on the Internet and pieced together a loop around California in the spirit of the show.
I hope to be able to do this again, but in a different area. In the meantime. enjoy the trip, pictures and menus and look to hear from me next year.
