Nature, ricotta and off to the country

Leave Palermo approximately 10 AM
Drive to Custonaci – breathe in the views
Guided visit to Grotta Mangiapane inside the natural reserve of Monte Cofano
Homemade ricotta making at the barn: Light lunch of fresh ricotta; fresh Sicilian pane; olive oil and vino
Drive to Winetasting – Tenute Orestiadi
Transfer to the country house
Light aperitivo upon arrival
Get settled into the country house
- Relax time: soaking tub/naps/a little downtime
- Book massages for arrival (need to be confirmed in advance)
Dinner together at the country house

Visiting Erice, the salt flats, and the seaside of Castellammare del Golfo

Tour around Erice

Time to shop/wander
Travel to Saline Culcasi (salt flats)
Visit the salt flats and the salt museum
Make our way along the coastline to Castellammare at sunset time
Dinner at La Varcuzza in the port

Visiting the olive oil mill and a country cooking class with La Squadra

Boat Trip: A day along the Zingaro and San Vito lo Capo

Breakfast @ hotel
Drive to the northern coast
Day boating trip along the Natural Reserve of “lo Zingaro” – explore the 8 little inlets only accessible on foot or by boat; Snorkel, swim, soak in the sunshine, and enjoy a typical lunch of “pane cunzato” and wine on board the boat.
Return around 5 pm to the port of SanVito lo Capo
Casual dinner in San Vito (we should all be wearing kaftans by now)

Saturday 04 October 2025

Explore la Valle del Belice

Breakfast @ hotel
Visit Selinunte (Greek ruins)
Lunch at the lido on the beach in Selinunte
Visit the Creto di Burri – the epicentre of the 1968 earthquake and Italy’s largest outdoor work of art (Named Italian Capital of Contemporary Art 2026 in all of Italy)
Farewell dinner together at the country house (with a little added pizazz!)

Sunday 05 October 2025

Departure

Today, we must bid each other farewell, but with new friendships and memories to last a lifetime! Arrivederci!
