The Bicicletta
Ingredients:
Ice
2 parts white wine, such as Pinot Grigio
1 part Campari
Club soda, to taste
Lemon or orange slice
Directions:
1. Fill glass with ice. I use red wine glasses for the cocktail.
2. Add wine, campari and club soda to taste. I use about 4 ounces wine, 2 ounces campari and a generous splash of club soda. Stir to mix.
3. Garnish with lemon or orange slice and serve. Cin-cin!
Hey again Michele! (That must have been “tough” researching all those drinks!!!) This one sounds great for summer & has one of my biggest favorites – Campari! Funny, I’ve only met a limited few who can tolerate the taste of it, which I find wonderful, even straight up with ice. I assume you know the Negroni, VERY popular in Italia, though I didn’t run across it last visit….(equal parts Campari, Gin & (typically) sweet Vermouth – with lemon wedge)…similar & also a yum! Stay cool with these while you’re still steamy up there! Salute! -Tom B.
Hi Tom, the research was terrible :o)). Learned to love Campari when I would visit Sicilia….sitting near the beach, breezes blowing, campari in hand…great stuff! Stay cool down yonder as well. Have a negroni for me….
