This week’s photo challenge was to photograph things that represented the word ‘Arranged’. Given I was fortunate enough to spend last weekend toodling around Firenze, I roamed the streets looking for subjects to fit the bill! Spring was just beginning to blossom across the city – from the blooms on the wisteria to the people laying out in the sun near the Ponte Vecchio, it was evident that there was a lightness to the mood of the city as wintery days turned to sun-filled warmth. The vegetable markets were filled with all the wonderful harbingers of spring. From artichokes to favas, how I wished I had a kitchen of my own in Firenze where I could cook up a storm with all the beautiful bounty.
And while exploring Firenze’s central market, San Lorenzo Mercato Centrale, I spotted this great display of prosciutto hams. If only I had a melon, a bit of parmigiano and a nice bottle of red wine – it would have been heaven indeed! The Mercato was a feast for the senses – from the Tipperia selling tripe (cow’s stomachs) to the beautifully displayed Italian products. Incredibile!
And we are busily planning our Easter menu for Sunday – look for upcoming posts as we cook up a storm for the weekend! Buona Pasqua!
Such vibrant colors! I wouldn’t know what half those vegetables are, but they’re very pretty 😛
Grazie for the comment! Had great fun finding photo ops on this one…
Great colours! Love the first pic the best, it’s luminescent!
Thanks Jennifer! Buona Pasqua!
