Well nothing says Christmas like a Negroni with a seasonal fruit; in this case Clementines. Serve just one or two servings of these drinks per person in a Martini glass with a slice of Clementine. More than two per person will probably lead to undesirable consequences.
Makes 2 to 3 servings.
Ingredients and Directions:
- 3 clementines, peeled
- 3 dashes of orange bitters
- 1/4 cup high quality Gin
- 1/4 cup Campari
- 3 tablespoons sweet vermouth
- Ice cubes
- 2 clementine slices (for garnish)
Special equipment: Cocktail shaker
Place 3 whole peeled clementines and orange bitters in cocktail shaker and muddle until clementines are broken down. Add gin, Campari, and vermouth. Fill shaker 3/4th full with ice. Shake vigorously 30 seconds. Strain into 2 Martini glasses, dividing equally. Garnish each with a floating clementine slice.
